DocuSign Contract is Ending and a New Contract with Adobe Sign has Begun

We are currently in the midst of a planned 6-month transition period, which will conclude on April 29, 2022, when the current DocuSign contract ends.

An IT Services Team led by software development manager Jim Hurley is coordinating the conversion, which will include migrating more than 700 DocuSign documents to Adobe Sign and downloading all signed documents to a location where they will be accessible once the DocuSign contract ends.

So, why the switch?  Following a survey of DocuSign users in January 2021, Procurement Services conducted a Request for Proposals to award a contract for an electronic signature software that included the features survey respondents reported using.  These features included: signing documents, routing documents for signature, creating templates, and creating web forms.  Due to those features being available, the ability of the software to integrate with other current systems, as well as a cost savings of over $125K per year, the decision was made to award a three-year contract to Adobe Sign.

If you are a current DocuSign user, the IT services team will be contacting document owners, once their documents have been moved to Adobe Sign.

IT Services has also set up an email address for the Adobe Sign conversion team.  Questions about the change can be emailed to adobesign@iastate.edu.

We appreciate your flexibility and patience as we progress through this transition period with our electronic signature software.
