My Role in Procurement Services
I am part of the Card Services Team! We are here to help with all your P-Card, T&H Card, and gift card needs! I answer our Card Services help desk phone and email and provide P-card orientations to new cardholders. I also order gift cards for departments through our Procurement Services gift card program.
Highlighting a Recent Project or Accomplishment
I am proud of our Procurement Services gift card program. This is a relatively new program we started in order to move away from cash and checks for research participants. We hit the the ground running and have 3 options for gift cards that include Tango Electronic Rewards, Visa plastic cards, and Amazon plastic cards. We have run into many challenges along the way but keep looking for ways to improve our processes. Once of our biggest improvements is moving our Tango orders through cyBUY. We hope this streamlines the process and makes it easier for requesters.
Lauren Anderson
My Role in Procurement Services
I started working at Procurement Services at the beginning of August as a student worker. As a student worker, I get to work on a variety of projects along with cyBUY transactions, insurance forms, and bid documentation. I also have the opportunity to work on several different marketing projects, usually centered around photography and graphic design. I am working towards a BFA in graphic design with a minor in general business.
How Do You See Your Work as a Student Employee Benefiting You in the Future?
My experience in Procurement Services as a student employee has helped me to understand controls in place around contracts and payments, which will help me in the future as I hope to one day own my own business. I have also gained experience working in an office setting which has allowed me to understand how my work life might look post-graduation.
